LISA W. OVERTON practices in the areas of general civil litigation, local government law and litigation, corporate law, commercial law and contracting. She is licensed to practice in all Alabama state courts, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, all North Carolina state courts, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. Ms. Overton’s professional experience includes private practice as well as years of legal counsel in the public sector, where she served as an in-house local government attorney for Pitt County, North Carolina.

Ms. Overton holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the Maurer School of Law at Indiana University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Butler University with honors in Sociology.
